How it works
Because udders are used intensively on milking machines and robots, the natural keratin plug in the teat canal does not always close immediately after drying off. That gives bacteria a chance to enter the udder. The Bovi-Jet gel keeps the teat canal closed in a natural way until the keratin plug takes over the sealing. The gel then dissolves by itself after about 10 to 12 days.
Instructions
- Make sure the teats are clean: strict hygiene is essential.
- Insert the gel into the teat. Do not massage it up into the udder.
- Cell count above 125,000: also give an AHS-28 garlic bolus.
- Udder problems at drying off: deal with these first, in consultation with your vet. An AHS-10 garlic bolus can be given as support.
- Milk yield above 15 litres: also use the AHS Milk Stop Bolus.
